Project updates
This log records changes to the converter and its documentation. Guide dates refer to the last substantive edit to that guide.
- Added five practical guides: Fix double-encoded JSON without stripping backslashes, Read JSON Lines in Python and locate a broken record, Preserve large IDs and decimal precision in JSON, Missing, null, and empty JSON values in API responses, JSON Unicode escapes, newlines, and literal backslashes.
- Added an About page explaining processing, conversion limits, and how to report a problem.
- Added fixed examples that open in the converter from three guides. Opening an example fills the input; conversion starts when you press Convert.
- Expanded dict vs JSON with type-loss and quote-replacement cases.
- Expanded serialization errors with supported datetime representations, timezone limits, and set-to-array behavior.
- Expanded literal_eval vs eval with a decision table for JSON, literals, and copied datetime representations.
- Clarified the difference between the standard
ast.literal_eval()plusjson.dumps()recipe and the browser parser's additional representations. - Removed the initial visibility delay from the main headings and improved secondary-text contrast on the tools.
